4. International Piano Competition
The conditions of Competition:
- The competition is intended for all students of the primary and secondary schools – conservatories.
- Competitors can send the application no later than June 4, 2022.

The confirmation of payment of the registration fee and a photograph of the applicant in a jpg., tiff., png. file must be sent at: info@forumpertasti.com
- The registration fee of EUR 20 must be paid to the IBAN: SK21 0900 0000 0051 6531 5003
Variable symbol: date of birth (DDMMYYYY)
Each competitor pays only one registration fee.
For example, the one who paid the fee in solo playing does not pay in piano duos.

The banking fees shall be paid by the contestant.
- The competition in solo playing will be held in five categories:
1st category – participants born in 2013 and younger, up to 9 years, decisive is the date 7 July 2022
2st category – participants born in 2011 and 2010, up to 11 years, decisive is the date 7 July 2022
3st category – participants born in 2010 and 2009, up to 13 years, decisive is the date 7 July 2022
4st category – participants born in 2008 and 2007, up to 15 years, decisive is the date 7 July 2022
5st category – participants born in 2006, 2005, 2004 and 2003, up to 18 years, decisive is the date 7 July 2022
- The competition in piano duo will be held in four categories:
1st category – average age of both participants until 11 years, decisive is the date 7 July 2022
2st category – average age of both participants until 13 years, decisive is the date 7 July 2022
3st category – average age of both participants until 15 years, decisive is the date 7 July 2022
4st category – average age of both participants until 18 years, decisive is the date 7 July 2022
- The competition in solo playing will be held in two rounds. 1st category will be in one round. The competition in the piano duo is one–round. The order of the competitors is determined by drawing lots on 4 July 2022.
- Competition performances are open to the public. The competitor agrees that his/her performances will be recorded, and videos may be used to promote the contest.
- The results will be solemnly announced after the end of the competition on 6 July 2022, together with the award ceremony and concert of the winners.
- Awards for competitors include financial awards, diplomas, and prizes in kind. The absolute winner receives a scholarship for the International Masterclasses FORUM PER TASTI 7. – 10.7.2022.
- The participants of the competition pay for the accommodation themselves.
- In case of payment of the registration fee and non-participation in the competition, the fee will not be refunded.
- In case of cancellation of the competition by the organization, all received fees will be refunded to the participants.

- piano piece from the period of the classicism
- free program – 1st round repertoire must not be repeated
Time limit: 7 – 10 min
4rd category:
1st round
- free program
Time limit: 10 – 15 min
2nd round
- piano piece from the period of the classicism
- free program – 1st round repertoire must not be repeated
Time limit: 7 – 10 min
5rd category:
1st round
- free program
Time limit: 15 – 20 min
2nd round
- an important part of the sonata from the period of the classicism (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven) - in sonata form without repetition
- free program – 1st round repertoire must not be repeated
Time limit: 15 – 20 min
Studying at a Basic music school is not a condition of participation.
The participant can also play in the higher category.
The number of the compositions is arbitrary.
The whole program has to be played by heart.
Competition repertoire – piano duo:
1st category:
- at least two arbitrary compositions - written for a four – hand piano or for two pianos
Time limit: 5 – 8 min
2nd category:
- minimum of two arbitrary compositions – written for a four – hand piano or for two pianos
Time limit: 7 – 12 min
3rd category:
- minimum of two arbitrary compositions – written for a four – hand piano or for two pianos
Time limit: 10 – 15 min
4th category:
- minimum of two arbitrary compositions – written for a four – hand piano or for two pianos
- one compulsory composition for two pianos
Time limit: 15 – 20 min
The condition is to include in the competition program original classical compositions written for a four – hand piano or for two pianos. (no transcripts and edits).
The whole program do not has to be played by heart.
Studying at a Basic music school is not a condition of participation.
The participants of the piano duo can also play in the higher category.
A person for flipping the music sheets is not allowed.
The position of the pianos is in a position opposite to each other.
